Discover Juvederm Family Fillers for Facial Rejuvenation, Wrinkle Reduction And More...

Everyone’s skin folds and wrinkles when they make facial expressions. In young skin, these “movement” wrinkles don’t often last. However, over time, and as our skin loses collagen and hyaluronic acid, these wrinkles become deeper and more permanent.

JUVÉDERM XC restores your skin’s natural, plump, full look by injecting one of those lost elements – hyaluronic acid. With care and touch-up, JUVÉDERM XC offer help with areas around the mouth, lips, and nose for up to a whole year*. This solution is quick – often only taking one office visit – and easy (it works with any skin type).

What Is JUVÉDERM?

JUVÉDERM is the smooth gel filler that your doctor uses to instantly smooth away wrinkles. With just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.

JUVÉDERM is manufactured using HYLACROSS technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. With JUVÉDERM® you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.

How Does JUVÉDERM Work?

Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). But as you age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds – like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth.

Using a dermal filler like JUVÉDERM is a safe and effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

What Areas Are Treated With JUVÉDERM?

JUVÉDERM is for injection into the mid to deep dermis (below the outer layer of the skin) for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Some examples include:

Plump up folds that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth
Reduce the “Marionette lines,” the downturned creases in the corner of the mouth
Augment thin or aging lips

What Makes JUVÉDERM Different Than Other Dermal Fillers?

JUVÉDERM is the only hyaluronic Acid filler approved to last up to one year. The manufacturing process provides high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid for long-lasting results. It also works to create a smooth consistency gel that flows easily into the skin and provides a smooth, natural look and feel. Other hyaluronic acid fillers currently on the market are made of granular consistency gels

JUVÉDERM injectable gel is now formulated with lidocaine, a common anesthetic used to improve the comfort of treatment.

What to Expect From The JUVÉDERM Treatment?

In your first consultation, Dr. Rapaport will brief you on how JUVÉDERM XC works, what to expect, and what type of results you might have. When you come in for the procedure, JUVÉDERM XC will be injected into the treatment areas. To make sure you’re not uncomfortable, Dr. Rapaport will use a very thin needle and a local anesthetic.

Once the procedure is over, you can immediately go back to your daily life. There are no common severe side effects; the most common side effects (swelling, tenderness, or pain) are often gone within a week.

The results you see can be maintained for up to one year. However, because everyone is different, Dr. Rapaport might recommend a different course of action, such as touch-ups. These touch-up visits are just detailing, and are often very short.

Please note that individual results can vary between patients; everyone is different.

The Great Benefits of a Simple Treatment

The benefits of JUVÉDERM are readily apparent: the smoothing and plumping up of both deep facial wrinkles and creases, as well as finer lines such as those around the eyes and mouth. JUVÉDERM can also be used to safely augment the lips. The patient will be able to see the results of JUVÉDERM treatment immediately; he or she will be able to tell if an additional injection is needed (generally, one initial treatment is all that is necessary).

The results of JUVÉDERM are long-lasting – up to six months or more. JUVÉDERM is gradually absorbed by the body, and the injection site – while initially sore – quickly becomes soft and pliant and takes on the quality of the surrounding skin. The cost of JUVÉDERM is relatively inexpensive, especially when compared to facial plastic surgery procedures such as facelift, browlift, or eyelid surgery. Finally, JUVÉDERM requires no allergy testing, as the hyaluronic acid it contains is human-based and safe.

Juvederm Facts

FDA-Approved For Your Safety

Juvéderm® Voluma XC is the first FDA-approved injectable gel, made to quickly add volume to your face’s cheek area. In fact, it is the first hyaluronic acid filler approved by the FDA as safe for skin containing any amount of melanin (color).

Based on Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Juvederm is one of the most popular dermal fillers that is made from Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is also a naturally occurring substance in the body.

Lasts Up To 12 Months

Juvederm Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC both last up to 12 months. It slowly metabolizes over time. So, patients often return in half that time for maintenance treatments. However, every patient is different and the location of the injection also affects the duration of action.
