The Ideal Treatment for Frown Lines Between Eyebrows
Self-care is not “selfish.” Caring about how you look is not “superficial.” And doing something about your frown lines is not “wrong.” It’s time to X out the judgment, the labels, the doubts, the regrets. Oh, and the frown lines. With XEOMIN®, the only clinically proven anti-wrinkle injection uniquely purified to remove unnecessary proteins.
Squinting and frowning creates furrows (wrinkles) in your skin around your eyebrows as they contract. These lines become more prominent as you age because your skin loses its elasticity. Frown lines (lines and wrinkles around your forehead and eyes) can notably affect first impressions, whether it’s with family, friends, work, or out and about. With XEOMIN, you can temporarily minimize the look of those severe frown lines you’ve been trying to hide and holistically change the notion others have about you.
Why Should I Choose Xeomin?
An FDA-approved prescription medication made with the same ingredient, XEOMIN focuses on the nerve endings in your muscles and creates an obstacle so that the signals that cause contractions in your muscle fibers can’t be received. This successfully lessens the look of frown lines.
XEOMIN is recommended by Dr. Rapaport for patients who have these beauty concerns, as well as others. The XEOMIN treatment may be right for you if you:
- Are of adult age with frown lines between your eyes.
- Are not allergic to XEOMIN or any ingredients within XEOMIN.
- Are healthy enough to withstand aesthetic care.

What is Xeomin Treatment Like?
XEOMIN is a prescription medication injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults.
The entire treatment takes only about 20 minutes. Dr. Rapaport will apply a topical numbing agent to ensure a painless therapy and inject the necessary amount of XEOMIN into the facial muscles responsible for development of frown lines.
Within about seven days, you will notice less severity in your frown lines and will see the full advantage of your treatment within two weeks. XEOMIN lasts up to six months. When XEOMIN wears off, you are more than welcome to come back to Jeffrey Rapaport, MD for a re-treatment.
How Does XEOMIN Work and Where Is It Used?
Xeomin is an injectable botulinum toxin used to smooth moderate to severe lines and wrinkles in the face. This non-invasive treatment is administered in small amounts, where it helps to relax the facial muscles responsible for brow furrows, smile lines and other deep-set wrinkles. Many people request Xeomin injections because they wish to regain a youthful appearance and soften facial contours that may have been altered due to the aging process, too much UV exposure or lifestyle factors like smoking. Xeomin is often referred to as the “naked” botulinum toxin because it lacks additives. In fact, it is this lack of additives that reduces the likelihood of the body rejecting treatments and developing an adverse reaction.
Xeomin has been proven effective for the treatment of glabellar lines by two different double-blind clinical trials.
What Should I Tell My Doctor Before Treatment?
Before receiving treatment with XEOMIN, you should tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including whether you have a disease that affects your muscles and nerves, have allergies to any botulinum toxin product, or have experienced any side effect from any other botulinum toxin in the past. In addition, tell your doctor about your medical history and all the medicines you take, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Especially tell your doctor if you have received any other botulinum toxin product in the last four months or in the past. Be sure your doctor knows exactly which product(s) you received and when you received them.
What Are The Most Common Side Effects?
XEOMIN may cause serious side effects, including allergic reactions. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to XEOMIN may include: itching, rash, redness, swelling, wheezing, asthma symptoms, or dizziness or feeling faint. Tell your doctor or seek medical help right away if you have wheezing, experience other asthma symptoms, or if you become dizzy or faint. In clinical trials of XEOMIN for the treatment of frown lines between the eyebrows, headache was the most common side effect. XEOMIN may cause loss of strength or general muscle weakness, blurred vision, or drooping eyelids within hours to weeks of taking XEOMIN. If this happens, do not drive a car, operate machinery, or do other dangerous activities. Tell your doctor if you have any side effect that bothers you or that does not subside.
