With Restylane® you can treat your moderate to severe wrinkles and folds and enhance your lips.
Restylane wrinkle reduction products add fullness & volume to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (which are called nasolabial folds). Restylane, Restylane-L or Restylane® Silk can also add definition and fullness to lips in patients over 21 years, providing natural-looking results with just one treatment. Restylane Lyft has also recently been FDA approved for cheek augmentation and correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies in people more than 21 years of age.
How does Restylane work?
A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally over time.

Getting the most out of your Restylane treatments
- Restylane is the only hyaluronic acid dermal filler approved to last up to 18 months from initial treatment when patients followed the Restylane Regimen—a treatment plan that helps you get the most out of your Restylane treatments.
- You can see lasting, beautiful results for up to 18 months with full correction.
- At least 95% of patients saw results for up to 18 months when they followed the Restylane Regimen.
- In a clinical study treating laugh lines, Restylane maintained improvement for up to 18 months after initial treatment, when each laugh line received a follow-up treatment at four and a half or nine months.
- Patients who used the Restylane Regimen showed similar improvement, on average, at 18 months compared to their Week 2 Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS) score.
What is the Restylane Regimen?
The Restylane Regimen is a treatment plan that is scheduled and involves initial treatment of moderate to severe laugh lines, plus a follow-up treatment appointment approximately four and a half or nine months later. On average, only half the amount of Restylane used in the initial treatment is needed at the follow-up treatment to achieve full correction.
* The Restylane Regimen does not apply to Restylane or Restylane-L® for lip enhancement for patients over 21. But, you can still get the look you want—and keep it longer—when it comes to moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, when you achieve full correction.
What to expect with Restylane and how to prepare for your treatment
Treatment with a product from the Restylane® family typically takes less than 1 hour (individual treatment times may vary). Most of the time, there is little to no downtime associated with treatment using the Restylane family of products.
Here’s what will happen:
- Talk to Dr. Sani about options to make you as comfortable as possible during the procedure, including Restylane-L®, Perlane-L®, and pain medication and anything else that will make you more comfortable.
- Dr. Sani will cleanse and prepare the area(s) to be treated.
- The clear gel in the Restylane family of products is injected into the treatment area(s) using an ultra-fine needle to create the desired aesthetic effect.
After your treatment, you may have some: swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 – 18 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.
